Colloquium on Testing, Modelling and Control of Maritime Fuel Cell Systems

Oslo, 9–10 December 2026. A joint colloquium of the Horizon Europe projects MARINER and MiNaMi.

Join us in Oslo for two days of knowledge sharing and discussion on these interconnected topics and their role in advancing maritime fuel cell applications.

About

MARINER and MiNaMi are both developing modular, megawatt-scale PEM fuel cell systems for ships, targeting lifetimes of around 80,000 operating hours. Reaching that goal requires models capable of accurately predicting and identifying degradation based on operating conditions, and controllers designed based on these models to avoid or reduce degradation rates during operation.

This colloquium will adress this through technical talks on the topics of:

  • Testing: accelerated stress testing and test protocols
  • Modelling: process and degradation modelling, from cell to stack to module to system
  • Control: system integration, control and interaction design

Practical information

  • Dates: Wednesday 9 December, 13:00 (lunch from 12:00) to Thursday 10 December, 16:00
  • Venue: Campus Ullevål, Sognsveien 72, 0855 Oslo, Norway
  • Registration: via the link above.
